Downtown Dash 5k happening on May 15, 2024 - National Employee Health & Fitness Day!
Please read the details below prior to the event.

PRE-RACE:

RACE:
Race Start Time: 2:00 p.m.
Location: 100 West River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN
Route:

Stone Arch Bridge, heading north on W River Rd trail

Follow along the trail until the turnaround point between the Plymouth and Broadway Bridge

Turn around and follow the trail back to the Stone Arch Bridge

There will be volunteers and arrows staked into the ground guiding you along the trail. The turnaround point will also be clearly marked.

This course is not a closed course. Please be respectful to non-participants on the bike and walking trails.

RACE DETAILS:

​Parking
There is public parking available on the streets surrounding the race course. Event parking is not provided.
Check-in
Check-in will begin at 1:15 pm on Race Day near the starting line. Participants will receive a bib that should be pinned on and visible during the event. Safety pins will be provided. T-shirts will be given out to finishers that registered on or before May 1st. There is no drop off area, please keep your personal belongings with you.
Starting Line
Faster runners should line up closer to the front and those who plan to walk all/part of the race should start towards the back of the pack. This will help participants to avoid tripping and clogging the race course.

Headphones
Though we encourage a headphones free environment, headphones are allowed. Please note that you must be able to hear instructions from race officials at all times before and during the race. Please adjust volume levels accordingly.
Pictures
We will be taking pictures during the course of the event, these will be posted on the downtown dash social media pages, and website.
Strollers
Strollers are allowed on the race course. Please check in with race officials at the packet pick-up station.
Pets
For the safety of all participants, pets must be leashed and abide by park guidelines.
Wheelchairs
Those using wheelchairs are welcome to participate.
Aid Stations
Look for the aid station right before the Plymouth Bridge, this will be your marker to turn left and go under the bridge.
Course Marking
We will have a cyclist leading the front runners and another cyclist following the last participants. The course will be marked with yellow arrows. Please familiarize yourself with the course map ahead of time.
Volunteers and Staff
We will have volunteers and staff onsite wearing yellow vests. If you have questions at any time during the event, please direct them to these wonderful individuals.
Entry
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No-shows will not be mailed their T-shirt. Minors must provide the signature of a parent or guardian.
