Downtown Dash Virtual 5K Fun Run/Walk


Although we are disappointed to cancel the “in-person” version of the 9th Annual Downtown Dash this year, we want you to join us in participating in our Virtual Downtown Dash 5K!  All you need to do is run or walk your race any time before June 1st. 


Be sure to follow social distancing and other safety measures provided by the State of MN and your local government regarding COVID-19 as you participate.  


Follow these 3 easy steps to run/walk your 5K!

  • Step 1: Walk or run ANYTIME before June 1st and record your race time using: Strava, MapMyRun, or a simple stopwatch. 

  • Step 2: Email your race completion time to

    • Include first and last name, run date and race completion time in the body of the email.

    • Run/walk times must be submitted by 11:59 pm on May 31st.

  • Step 3: Submit a selfie on Downtown Dash 5k Facebook:

    • Use the hashtag #SweatySelfie!

    • Post on

    • Submit a selfie after your run/walk or a pic of the location you ran/walked! 

      • In providing a photo or selfie you allow AdvantageHealth to share your pic on the Downtown Dash website and other event social media. (The pic you provide will not be used for sales or marketing purposes without written permission.)

  • All “finishers” who email their results by May 31st will receive a groovy Downtown Dash 5k t-shirt in the mail in June.
